Bondri - The original silicone water repellent for polished or unpolished granite has been in use for 40 years and is a standard in the granite industry. This achievement has not come easily; as the use of silicone water repellent, on polished granite especially, has required process education. If applied haphazardly, with poor or no penetration in some areas, this results in a crazy-quilt effect when the stone is wet. The area that received proper penetration of the silicone shows light (dry), while the slighted areas show dark (wet). There is no problem on unpolished granite so long as sufficient Bondri is used to get good penetration into the stone. On polished surfaces the solution must be rubbed into and through the polish to assure satisfactory penetration. Bondri has proven invaluable to the granite industry, but it must be used as directed.
Use for both polished and unpolished granites. Not quite as strong in silicone as Super, but it is a high quality repellent at moderate cost. In use for over twenty years with satisfactory results. |
